About the vacancy

Our client is one of the biggest online retailers worldwide with yearly revenue of £2+ billion. Our team is responsible for supporting +20 warehouses as they go go live next year; operational readiness; and design of new solutions following business demands.

We are looking for Network Engineers to help design, deliver, and support world-class, robust, and automated network implementations for international warehouses. The main focus is on reliable and hands-free network implementation, with full monitoring, alerting, and automated configuration management features.

In day to day tasks, the team solves a variety of problems from creating, testing, and validating working designs to deployment at scale and maintaining operational state.

Responsibilities

  • Create network design (with requirements to security, performance and observability)
  • Implement these networks in close collaboration with a 3rd party network team
  • Optimise network service
  • Test new project designs and technologies
  • Provide operational support 24/7 on-call rota for escalated issues
  • Assist with scripting, tooling, and automation network
  • Perform deployment, configuration, and monitoring

Must have

  • Experience at a Specialist level and up (JNCIS, or better JNCIP) in Juniper networking is preferred
  • A methodological and logical approach to problem-solving Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with some of the following platforms: Juniper MX, SRX, QFX, EX
  • In-depth understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Strong knowledge of network services required by a network function
  • Experience in scripting and automation (Bash/Python)
  • Good English
