About the vacancy

Our client is one of the largest professional certification associations in the finance industry. This is a global, well-known, not-for-profit organization that has been in operation since 1947. DataArt acts as its primary technology execution and development partner, helping solving challenges our client is facing on their transition from an offline-based service model to online, computer-based operations.

DataArt serves as a solution provider. Our team of senior Data Engineers, who are creating a new data landscape for the whole IT infrastructure of the company, is looking for a Middle Data Engineer. The client is using Azure and AWS clouds and is looking for assistance to support their expansion to China.

We hire people not for a project but for the company. If the project (or your work on it) is over you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.

Must have

  • 3+ years of engineering experience
  • 2+ years working with data in any major China’s cloud (Alibaba, Tencent)
  • Solid MS SQL knowledge
  • Expertise in SQL and comfortable designing, writing, and maintaining complex SQL-based ETL process
  • Experience building batch and micro-batch data pipelines; ETL design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Developer experience with Python, NodeJS, C# or Java
  • Spoken and written English

Would be a plus

  • Experience working with the Azure Data Platform (Azure SQL, Azure Storage) and/or Snowflake platform
  • Understanding of data warehouse layers, approaches to load data into such layers, and relevant algorithms
  • Experience in designing the data platform architecture
  • Experience with schema design and data modeling, and analytical skills to QA the data and identify gaps and inconsistencies
  • Experience with Azure DataLake Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Functions
  • Knowledge and experience with Bash, and/or other scripting languages
