About the vacancy

The client is one of the leading tour operators from the UK. Within the project, we help the client to extend his portfolio with a larger number of accommodations and build the new version of his product using the modern technologies.

The client constantly improves his product and the technical aspects. This role will allow the specialist to stay on top of the trends and best practices and collaborate with the client's team directly. The team consists of about 10 professionals.

Technology stack and infrastructure: Java Spring Boot, Node.js, Vue.js, GCP, Kubernetes.

We hire people not for a project, but to the company. If the project (or your work in it) is over, you go to another project or to a paid “Idle.”

Responsibilities

  • Interpret application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  • Identify bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Must have

  • 4+ years of web application development experience using the Java platform
  • Experience working with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Knowledge of OOP, OOD, and design patterns
  • Experience with development through testing (TDD)
  • Experience using object-relational mapping (ORM) technologies and IoC containers
  • Experience working with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and JavaScript
  • Skills using tools for automated project building (Maven or Gradle)
  • Experience using Continuous Integration tools (TeamCity, Bamboo, Jenkins)
  • Good spoken English

Would be a plus

  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue)
