About the vacancy

Our client is a British bank, one of the largest financial services companies in the world. The bank was founded three centuries ago, and today its assets are estimated to be worth trillions of US dollars.

DataArt's experts together with developers on the client's side are creating new banking apps and upgrading the old ones.

Working in this project will provide an opportunity to participate in the technological modernization of a large financial institution, to create a product for millions of users, and to obtain experience in agile software development.

Must have

  • Knowledge of Java
  • Knowledge of OOP, OOD, and design patterns;
  • Experience developing Java Enterprise applications (Spring IoC, Spring MVC)
  • Experience using ORM (Hibernate, Spring Data)
  • Practical experience working with databases and SQL (Oracle, MongoDB, Postgres, H2)
  • Knowledge of and experience working with micro-service architectures (Spring boot)
  • Knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON
  • Experience using Continuous Integration systems (preferably TeamCity)
  • Good understanding and practical experience of using development tools (maven, git)
  • Experience of development using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Knowledge of and the ability to work with requirements and project documentation (Jira, Confluence)
  • Good spoken English

Would be a plus

  • Experience working with cloud technologies
  • Experience installing and administering application servers (Apache Tomcat)
  • Experience building scalable high loaded data processing systems (SQL/NoSQL/sharding /distributed messaging systems)
