About the vacancy

Our client is a large online retailer with yearly revenue of £1 billion. We have a long history of relationships and over the years have helped this customer to maintain and develop a data warehouse (data sourcing, ELT, and business intelligence), web portals and mobile apps, delivery control systems, staff management tools, etc.

DataArt provides consultation and development of the software for the client in both areas of their activities: online sales with analytics and the creation of the cross-functional retail platform. You will be part of the team supporting the client’s Android and iOS apps, working alongside product owners and UX designers. This role allows for autonomy; we want to hear from you and encourage input.

Must have

  • Experience in the full Software Development life-cycle from design to deployment
  • Solid knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot
  • Experience with AWS
  • Knowledge of SRE practices
  • Experience working with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Web service development experience with RESTful services and APIs
  • Understanding of automated testing
  • Experience in using Gradle or Maven, Git, Gitlab
  • A good understanding of software development principles like Clean Code and SOLID principals
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Spoken English

Would be a plus

  • Experience with Spring Security, Spring Cloud AWS, Spring Cloud Netflix
  • Experience with AWS services: SQS, SNS, Lambda, ECS, RDS, Kinesis
