About the vacancy

The client is a NY-based company that specializes in providing compliant online solutions for the financial services sector with a key focus on helping clients to engage with investors and public stakeholders.

We are helping to migrate the current system infrastructure to the AWS cloud using a multi-services architecture. The project includes migration, refactoring, development of new services, optimization and speeding up of deployment, and customization of the system.

Responsibilities

  • Be driven and accountable for solution design and discovery works for the client
  • Elicit business needs and requirements, determine the scope, team, and timelines for the project
  • Lead the implementation of the solution’s architecture from ideation to completion
  • Serve as a top-level escalation point for technical and process concerns, which may arrive from either the implementation team or client (or both)
  • Mentor everyone on your team (including developers, QAs, BAs, PMs, DevOps, business stakeholders)
  • Communicate with the client and coach the project team

Must have

  • 5+ years of experience as an Architect/Tech Lead in commercial projects
  • Can communicate clearly and consciously, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with the end-to-end implementation of migration to cloud AWS services (from vision to hand-over to production) including the following services: Amazon RDS, Elastic Container Service (ECS) and ECR, Fargate, Cognito, API Gateway, Amazon Step Functions and Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, etc.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
  • Expert level experience in a major DB (MS SQL, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.)
  • Hands-on with .NET development stack (.NET 3.1+)
  • Understanding of web services and RESTful APIs
  • Good understanding of architecture principles, platforms, and best practices
  • Business analysis skills
  • Ability to design and deliver solution architecture documentation
  • Good spoken English

Would be a plus

  • Understanding of dockerizing
  • Experience working with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools
  • Understanding of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS ver. 7+)
  • Ability to communicate with the client early mornings from 8:00 am till 11:00 am (by EEST)
