About the vacancy

Our client is a US-based marketplace. They developed a website and app that allows users to buy and sell wardrobe items or gadgets.

DataArt’s specialists will strengthen the client's in-house team to develop and ensure access to new European markets. The work is organized according to the Spotify Agile Framework, i.e. all developers work in small (5-7 people) autonomous and self-sufficient teams.

Must have

  • Development experience using Scala
  • Experience with functional programming languages
  • Practical experience in database design
  • Experience using the Akka Scala framework
  • Experience with Confluent platform (Kafka, Kafka Streams, Alpakka).
  • Experience using NoSQL (Cassandra, Couchbase)
  • Experience using ORM (Slick)
  • Proficiency in OOP, OOD, and design patterns
  • Ability to use automated testing systems (JUnit, ScalaTest, ScalaMock)
  • Independent
  • Team working skills
  • Spoken English

Would be a plus

  • Experience in maintaining project documentation
  • Knowledge of JavaScrip, Angular.js, jQuery
  • Knowledge o HTTP and WebSockets
  • Experience using Java-framework Spring (IOC, Security)
